First of all you need to skip the Disney cruise ship for some other, depending on your age. The Disney ship will be full of kids, and the Disney characters. Although there will be lots of kids activities going on, the kids will still be all over the ship and dining room. Take the Disney cruise after you have kids.

Try Princess, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, or Celebrity for a more mature (i.e., 40+) adults oriented crowd of person who have cruised before. Try Carnival if you want to associate with a young crowd and party all day and night.

Cruises can be as romantic as you want them. The staff will bring you meals in the room if you want. Get a balcony cabin for some added privacy and intimacy. If you want to do one before the honeymoon, do a 4 or 5 day one in the Caribbean or out of Calif. Cruises are as relaxing or as hectic as you want them to be. There are activities for you to participate in all day and evening, including a casino if you want to gamble. When ships are in port there are tours, shopping, beach times, etc. that you can participate in. Or, you can just stay on ship and relax.

I don't think you need a pre-cruise cruise. But I don't think you will want 7 days of a Disney crusie after 7 days at Disney World stuff.

I have been on about 12 cruises and have 2 booked for this year; they are wonderful.
