Help booking a cruise – Age restrictions?

Alrighty, so here’s the thing:
My fiance and I are really wanting to plan a vacation on a cruise line over our college winter break, however, we’re both 19 and we cannot locate a cruise line that allows people under 21 to book a cruise or find any way around the issue. We can understand 21 and the whole drinking issues, though we cannot understand why it will not even allow us to book one without someone being either 21 (Royal Carribbean) or 25 (Carnival) accompanying us.

Anyone know any NICE cruise lines that allow two 19 year olds to book a cruise without the need of a parental accompanyment?

(And please don’t suggest a Disney cruise if they allow that. We want a nice peaceful cruise without many kids on board.)

We also need a cruise line that leaves from either Virginia, South Carolina, or someplace in Florida.

Here’s the definitive list of age restrictions from http://www.vacationstogo.com/cruise_age_requirements.cfm.

There are some cruise lines that allow 18 year olds to cruise without older supervision. Here is a list of the cruise lines and their age restrictions. You should check with the cruise line or your TA before booking to check that this information is correct. their rules change quite regularily and without warning. (Paragraphs 2 & 3 should apply to you)

The following cruise lines require that either 1) All passengers in a cabin must be 18 or older, or 2) If anyone in the cabin is younger than 18 years old, someone in the cabin must be 21 or older: disney cruise line, GAP Adventures, Paul Gauguin Cruises, Silversea and Viking River Cruises.

One exception to these age requirements is often made for underage married couples, who as long as they are both 18 are allowed to board unaccompanied. These couples may be asked to show proof of their marriage. This exception is based on individual cruise line policy.

Your age on the date of sailing is generally considered your age for the length of the cruise."

Since you are engaged, get married and then there’s no problem with any of the cruise lines. Just show your marriage certificate as proof of marriage and they will allow you to go at age 19. I think that may be your only option.

Try Cunard. The QM2 spends time in the Caribbean.
