Royal Caribbean sounds awesome for you! I went in February (I turned 16 in Dec) and it was great! There were many activities for families as well as just teens, the teen center was really nice, and they had a pool, hot tubs, a rock climbing wall, surf simulator and so much more that was fun for teens! I also went on norwegian and didn't think it was as great! Royal Caribbean is also very clean, very accomodating and the food is really good. My parents also liked it better than Norwegian, if that matters, since your parents are going! ~Erika

okay well im 14& i have been on 8 royal caribbean cruises
i am a girl also,
they are fun for all ages my brothers are 20&18
this is currently & we always have fun & whoever we all bring a friend has fun

carnival is kind of trashey

royal caribbean kids can do pretty much everything(:!

I think you will have a good time and there will be other teens on board if you go when school is out.

I imagine that Disney would be a safe bet for all ages for good family fun… they have a good reputation for everything they do.

Personally, I am a fan of Carnival. I am a previous passenger and know you would get great value for your dollar, no matter which cruise you choose and how much you spend. They are a good company and the leader in the industry right now.

I would rank Royal Caribbean at the bottom. They are struggling a bit and I’ve heard they are starting to cut corners.

The main thing is to go with a positive attitude. If you intend to have a good time I think you can have a good time on most any cruise.

To help you do some research and look around a bit, take a look at some other cruise specific sites:

and of course the Disney and RCCL sites.

Look around for some reviews, check the prices for the times you want to sail so you can understand the differences in what they charge and why. I know you say that is not your concern yet… but it is where you start. Also look at the different cities where the cruise begins, and pick the closest city. Then check the ports where the cruise stops… those cities can also offer fun activities that will either suit you or not. So you do start with the basics.

The three you are looking at can all offer you a good fun cruise.

I’m 13 and went on a Carnival cruise last year, and a Holland America cruise last month. Holland America was much better, as far as food and ‘adultish’ stuff goes.
There were a lot of kids on the Carnival Legend and I hated it, even though I was 12 then. It’s much more child friendly, but I think teenagers took advantage of the clubs and hung out there instead of the fact that they were on a cruise ship in the Carribean. Anyway, HAL (holland america line) has clubs for teens and children, and a lot of stuff that Carnival has. The HAL ships are smaller, and my parents and grandmother liked it a lot better that way. There’s less noise and kids running around, and the staff is a lot friendlier, as well as speaking better english. (or at least on the Ryndam it was like that.)

After 32 cruises on 8 different lines, I feel that royal Caribbean will best suit your wishes, especially the Freedom, Liberty or soon to start sailing, the Oasis.
